Solavei Brings BlackBerry Z10 to U.S. Early With $50 Unlimited Plan

Small-time wireless carrier Solavei is offering customers in the U.S. BlackBerry Z10 phones at $999 per piece and an additional $50 for an unlimited plan.

BlackBerry announced that it will be launching its latest Z10 model in the U.S. in March. However, aspiring wireless carrier Solavei is offering customers the phone one month earlier for a price of $999 for an unlocked phone. This comes with a $50 unlimited plan.

This price not only makes the phone far more costly than what people usually pay for a smartphone but also makes it the most expensive smartphone in the market. Currently, BlackBerry is selling its Z10 models for $700 in the Middle East.

Solavei announced that people can purchase the device from their retail partner, GSM Nation, starting Monday. However, people who are not willing to spend just as much will have to wait till mid-March when BlackBerry officially launches the phone in the U.S.

"We believe in giving our members access to the latest phones and wireless capabilities," Solavei CEO Ryan Wuerch said in a statement. "Solavei not only gives its members the opportunity to pay less for unlimited mobile service, but even the opportunity to earn income by sharing Solavei with others."

Reportedly, the wireless carrier has signed up more than 120,000 members since its inception last September. It offers commissions to members to get their friends to sign up and has paid up to $5 million in commissions till date.
