Many in Buffalo were upset after hearing that a fan favorite in Fred Jackson was cut by general manager Doug Whaley.  There are reports now that Whaley "went rogue" when making this decision, according to Tim Graham of Buffalo News.

Jackson had 525 yards on the ground last season and had spent eight seasons in Buffalo before getting cut. Jackson was visiting Seattle this week, possibly joining up with his former teammate in Marshawn Lynch.

The Bills traded for LeSean McCoy this off season and picked up one of the best running backs in all of football, but behind McCoy, the backfield in Buffalo seems thin. Reports this Wednesday came out conflicting with the fact that McCoy would be ready for week one against the Indianapolis Colts. It seems his hamstring injury may be more severe than expected, and the loss of Jackson is becoming more questioned.

Behind McCoy, the Bills have Boobie Dixon and Bryce Brown, who combined for 558 yards last season, and Dixon, particularly, will be asked to carry more of the load. The Bills also drafted Karlos Williams in the fifth round out of Florida State and hope that the rookie can have an impact.

After McCoy, Bills fans are questioning who will fill the gap left by Jackson. The more people find out about this transaction, the more Whaley's name is likely to be brought down, but don't expect the Bills organization to give up any information, even if this did go poorly.
