ASUS is projected to score big when it releases the Zenfone 2 in the United States. It has introduced several variants in India and it recently announced the special edition Zenfone 2 Deluxe, now available in Brazil.

It has enjoyed both critical and commercial success due to its high specs but incredibly low price point. As rival manufacturers such as Samsung and Motorola introduced new iterations of their flagship phones, Asus is not quite ready to replace Zenfone 2 yet in the United States.

The Zenfone 2 Deluxe packs an astounding 256GB of storage. The device, which still rocks an Intel Atom processor, 4 GB of RAM and a 5.5 1080p display, will be available in two models, a 'multifaceted polygonal finish' and a variant with carbon-fiber black. Both of these models will have 256 GB, which is exactly 15 times more than what Apple offers on an entry-level iPhone, the Verge noted.

The RAM, which is the same for the higher end Zenfone 2 variant is still a force to be reckoned with despite the entry of newer flagship devices because most of these could only boast 3GB at the most, according to Slash Gear.

Unfortunately for U.S. consumers, the Deluxe model is only available in Brazil as of yet. A Deluxe variant was previously unveiled in India but it only involved an upgrade to the design, which resembles the polygonal back cover of the model being sold in the Brazilian market.

Brazilians will be able to purchase the devices next month, according to Engadget. No information has been provided that detail pricing or whether the device will be available in the U.S. or elsewhere.
