Jeb Bush appeared at the Iowa State Fair Friday and delivered a speech to fairgoers from the Des Moines Register Soapbox where he was later questioned about the Iraq War, reports CNN.

The GOP candidate for president talked less about his family name and the past than about ISIS and Syria in Friday's speech  and went further in attempting to contrast himself with Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton – even referencing their disparate use of email and offering one of his own to demonstrate a commitment to transparency.

"Write it down and send me your thoughts at jeb@jeb.org," he urged gathers. "I think we need a lot more transparency in politics."

When he was Governor of Florida, Bush made his email address and archives available.

"I hope you want a president that'll roll up their sleeves and fix these broken systems, for cryin' out loud, to make sure that we serve the people," Bush said in his speech, according to USA Today. After his speech, Jeb opened himself up to a question-and-answer session. People in the crowd asked him questions across a broad range of topics, including the Iraq War.

While at the fair, Bush took some time to enjoy some of the amusements. He stopped at the food stands, worked the grill for a while and drank beer, according to the LA Times. The most recent poll shows Bush is getting only 5 percent of the vote in Iowa among Republicans.

Donald Trump is currently leading the race. He'll be arriving at the fair on Saturday via helicopter.
