David Beckham Trains With Arsenal: Planning To Resume Soccer Career?

Soccer superstar David Beckham has returned to England after completing his five year contract with LA Galaxy in the U.S. The England midfielder was spotted training with the Arsenal FC squad Tuesday which gave rise to rumors that he was looking to resume his football career.

Reportedly, Beckham called Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger requesting to train with his team and Wenger was only too happy to agree. According to Wenger, Beckham could teach his young team a thing or two. The Arsenal players too are happy to take tips from the experienced former Manchester United player.

"He is here early in the morning and the young English players always look at him and take his advice on board," Wenger told the Daily Mail. "He told me he has not done anything since he stopped at L.A. Galaxy. I don't believe that. I was surprised. But maybe he wanted to get a bit away from it. He is 37 as well, you know."

However, all fans who are looking to see their favorite footballer on the field soon may have to wait a little longer as Wenger revealed that Beckham has no plans, as of now, to return to playing fulltime and definitely not in the Premier league.

"Beckham is super-ambitious. If in his mind he wanted to play in the Premier League he would not have gone on holiday, he would have prepared and come in and tried to impress me," Wenger said. "But he wants to get fit again. He is a sportsman and maybe in June he has plans to play somewhere, maybe take three or four months off and prepare for next season."

Beckham , currently a free agent, has already grabbed the attention of two football clubs - QPR and West Ham United - who are looking to sign on the footballer as soon as they can.

Wenger, has in the past, borrowed experienced players like Sol Campbell, Thierry Henry and Jens Lehmann for short stints and this has done a whole lot of good for the club. Is Wenger looking to do the same with Beckham? Fans will have to wait and watch.
