The current contentious contract impasse facing the Dallas Cowboys and Dez Bryant has, unsurprisingly, only served to further damage a relationship that was likely already on shaky ground prior to all the recent media squabbling and he-said, he-said back and forth.

Bryant's behavior throughout the ordeal and especially of late has the Cowboys brass concerned, according to the latest report.

"As the hours count down toward the deadline for Dez Bryant and the Dallas Cowboys to get a long-term deal done before the franchise tag goes into effect for the entire year, sources close to Dez Bryant and close to the Cowboys believe that Bryant is more 'chaotic' than ever in terms of trying to force the Cowboys to move off of their offers," reveals Jason Cole of Bleacher Report.

As was shown by Bryant's tweet yesterday, indicating that he would not show up without a new contract prior to the Wednesday deadline for tagged players to finalize new deals with their team, the receiver has decided to pull out all the stops as he seeks a deal he deems commensurate to his actual value.

Under the rules of the current Collective Bargaining Agreement, Bryant could miss up to Week 10 of the 2015 NFL season and then report, allowing him to accrue the year of NFL experience and likely affording him the chance to play 2016 under a receiver franchise tag that would then carry a value north of $15 million.

It seems all of Bryant's social media threats though, have served only to create more distance between himself and the Cowboys, per Cole.

"Because of Bryant's tweeting and chaotic nature, it's unlikely that anything is going to get done," said Cole. "In fact, in talking to sources on both sides, they are completely unsure about how the next 24-hours is going to unfold at all."

While it seems beyond unlikely that Bryant would end up playing for any other team during his still-young NFL career, this situation has likely done little to endear him to the Cowboys brass or the Dallas fans.

Despite his prodigious talents and dominant abilities, Bryant seems to be pushing this situation to a place where not only will the team's 2015 prospects suffer, but his own NFL future may suffer as well.
