John Stamos has checked into a rehab facility for substance abuse, according to multiple reports.

Stamos reported to a residential treatment facility, but no other information has come available. The move comes nearly a month after the "Full House" star was cited for driving under the influence in Los Angeles on July 12.

The Beverly Hills Police Department received multiple calls about an individual driving erratically, according to People. Officers pulled over the 51-year-old actor driving a Mercedes and decided he needed medical attention.

Stamos was taken to the hospital, given a citation for DUI and then released to the care of the hospital. He's scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 11.

He tweeted his thanks to fans for their "love and support" the next day.

In 2007, the "General Hospital" alum infamously appeared drunk on the Australian talk show "Mornings with Kerri-Anne," slurring his words and making lewd gestures. "I'll be honest," he told the Advocate two years later. "When I went on that morning show, I was drunk. Yes, I was on sleeping pills, and I was jet-lagged, but I was also just plastered.... I was f---ing drunk in Australia. Big deal."

Stamos will next star opposite Josh Peck in the Fox comedy, "Grandfathered," which premieres on Sept. 29. He's also the executive producer for Netflix's "Full House" spinoff, "Fuller House," and will reprise his role as Uncle Jesse.
