California is in the middle of one of the most severe droughts the state has ever had, forcing Governor Jerry Brown to declare a drought State of Emergency.Tom Selleck may not be that concerned though, as the Calleguas Municipal Water District is accusing the actor of stealing water from a public fire hydrant in order to irrigate his private 60-acre ranch in Thousand Oaks.

The complaint says that a "large, white water tender type truck bearing commercial license 8M37154 was observed filling the truck's water tank with water from a hydrant." Calleguas Municipal Water District wants Selleck to pay at least $21,685.55 for investigators it hired and court costs. Other damages are being determined, according to Courthouse News Service.

Court documents allege that the "Blue Bloods" star continued filling his tanker even after cease-and-desist notices were sent to two of his Southern California homes.

The four-year drought is still devastating California and is damaging the multi-billion dollar agriculture industry, according to Yahoo Finance. Governor Brown requests that residents in California slash their use by 25 percent so there is enough water to go around.
