Fast and Furious 7 Rumors: Atlanta the Next Spot For Filming; Ludacris Returns Home with Cast to Shoot Seventh Installment

“Fast & Furious 7” will be filming in Atlanta, according to AccessAtlanta.com.

Ludacris, who plays Tej Parker in the F&F movies, is returning to his home state along with the cast along the filming of the seventh installment.

According to a casting call for the area, the “F&F” production team wants Middle Eastern men who have some type of history working on cars to act as extras.

This isn’t the first time the series has traveled down to the ATL for filming. Portions of “Fast Five” were also shot in Atlanta, specifically in the Georgian Dome (where the Atlanta Falcons play) parking lot and at the Gwinnett Couty Detention Center.

Colorado: The Colorado Springs Gazette, reported Pike's Peak Highway is scheduled to be shut down due to the filming of a movie by Universal Pictures.

Los Angeles: According to Emirates247.com, a casting call out of L.A. read as follows:

FF7 Productions in association with One Race Films and Original Film are now in pre-production on the action crime thriller feature film ‘Fast and Furious 7’ and casting calls will be going out in Los Angeles for starring, co-starring, and supporting roles.

“Extras will be cast near the locations where filming will take place,” the announcement added.

Japan

United Arab Emirates (UAE)

Originally the film was expected to be filmed in Egypt, according to Abu Dhabi-based The National. However, due to the recent unrest in the country, that is no longer a possibility

“Fast & Furious 7” is expected to focus on the revenge of Ian Shaw (Jason Statham) on Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his team for taking down Shaw’s brother Owen (Luke Evans).

“Fast & Furious 7” is set to hit theaters July 11, 2014.
