"The Hunger Games" shimmered the People's Choice Awards Wednesday night, taking home five big awards.
"The Hunger Games" based on a young adult novel written by Suzanne Collins was awarded favorite movie, favorite action and movie franchise. As for the stars of the movie, Jennifer Lawrence, who playedKatniss Everdeen was awarded people's favorite movie actress and favorite face of heroism for "The Hunger Games". Chris Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth and Lawrence won fans' favorite on-screen chemistry award.
While the blockbuster movie ruled the night, Katy Perry won the fans' favorite female artist, favorite music video for "Part Of Me" and music fan following for her KatyCats awards.
Robert Downy, Jr. was awarded the fans' favorite movie actor and for Movie Superhero for his character as "Iron Man" In "Avengers" eliminating other nominations Channing Tatum, Johnny Depp, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Will Smith. "You've chosen wisely," the actor joked after winning the award on stage.
The awards night was hosted by "The Big Bang Theory" actress Kaley Cuoco, at the Nokia Theatre, while Christina Aguilera, Jason Aldean and Alicia Keys performed on stage. The People's Choice Awards listed winners in over 40 different categories across film, music and television.
