This year's E3 conference is starting off with a bang for Nintendo fans, as the Japanese gaming company announced Sunday that it has added Ryu from the "Street Fighter" series and Roy from the "Fire Emblem" series to its "Super Smash Bros." roster as DLC characters.

The two characters will be available for the Wii U and 3DS versions of the popular crossover fighting game for $3.99 on either system, or for $4.99 each across both systems, according to Engadget.

The announcement follows one day after a video leaked on YouTube showing Ryu and Roy in action in the game.

Nintendo said in a video that Ryu, the most popular character of his iconic fighting franchise, will have the moves and model he had in "Street Fighter II," GameSpot reported.

However, the company has advised players to get Ryu and Roy later since the game's servers may experience some issues.

The roster expansion for "Super Smash Bros." was not the only news that Nintendo had for the game, as the company also revealed on Sunday that all of the game's 51 characters will eventually have Amiibo toys, GameSpot reported. Other additions will include Suzaku Castle from "Street Fighter" as a paid stage, a new Miiverse stage that shows posts appearing in character-specific communities, and new DLC stages that will include DreamLand from the original game on Nintendo 64.

"Super Smash Bros." will also get new Miiverse costumes, which include Megaman EXE, Zero, Isabelle from "Animal Crossing," inklings from "Splatoon," Heihachi from "Tekken," and Jacky and Akira from "Virtua Fighter," Engadget reported. Other DLC will include a Wii feature that lets you directly post replays to YouTube and an elimination-style tournament mode that will be available in August.

Gamers can check out price details for this new DLC at the Super Smash Bros. website.
