She's rocked everything from jet black to orange-red to blonde with blue and pink streaks, but now Demi Lovato has settled on yet another color, a bright shade of blonde. While many fans wish the singer would go to back to her signature raven-haired or brunette look, Lovato has one thing to say about it: she doesn't care what you think!

Lovato's black hair reminded fans of her 2009 rocker girl look around the time she released her hit album "Here We Go Again," as she sported a mid-length version of the look right before releasing her fourth studio album "Demi." But soon after, Lovato went back to honey blonde in May, right before filming the music video for her single "Made In The USA," and since then, she's been getting "blonder and blonder."

When she spoke to People magazine recently, the star admitted that she's been loving her new look.

"The overall reaction is...people like it!," she told the magazine. But as for the haters and hair critics, she dished, "I don't really care if people like it or not. I like being blonde and it's fun for the summertime."

The star joked on an episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" that since she's bipolar, she changes her look a lot. "I do this often," she explained to DeGeneres. "You've heard I'm bipolar. So I change my hair a lot."

Lovato has always been very open about her struggles with mental illness and addiction, so the fact that she can joke about it is surely reassuring to many fans dealing with similar issues.

As for her next dye job? Will we be seeing "blackvato" again, or perhaps a crazy shade of something else entirely?

"I never know what I'm going to do next," Lovato revealed. "Maybe like a honey brown or a dirty blonde or something, so it's not too blonde."

How does she maintain her locks to keep them from getting damaged from all the chemical changes? "I do olive oil treatments, which are really easy. Also, because of my [Hispanic ethnicity], my hair is really strong naturally," she said.
