FX just released the official cast photos for Season 4 of "American Horror Story," subtitled "Freak Show." In the pictures, fans get an up-close-and-personal look at the show's main "freaks," including lobster boy Jimmy Darling (Evan Peters), three-breasted Desiree Dupree (Angela Bassett), conjoined twins Dot and Bette (Sarah Paulson), among others.

"Freak Show" will be centered on the last remaining freak show in America, which is run by Elsa Mars (Jessica Lange).

"The year is 1952. A troupe of curiosities has just arrived to town, coinciding with the strange emergence of a dark entity that savagely threatens the lives of townsfolk and freaks alike," an official description reads. "This is the story of the performers and their desperate journey of survival admits the dying world of the American carny experience."

Ryan Murphy recently dished on the upcoming season during an interview with BuzzFeed and said he was a little worried that people would be too scared, mainly because of the show's main villain Twisty the Clown.

"We said in the writer's room that if we were going to do clowns, we were going to create the most terrifying clown of all time," he told BuzzFeed News. "That was our goal when we were writing him, but I'm worried about people being too afraid of our clown. It's heart-stopping what he does. I'm worried that people are going to have cardiac arrests... The clown's intro in the first episode is... even I was terrified of it."

"It's brutal," Murphy continued. "Two crew members told me they had nightmares about this clown since we started shooting and they're not even scared of clowns. I think he's pretty extraordinary because, when you see why he's a clown and why he's wearing the mask... just you wait."
