Sad news for Johnny Depp fans. According to recent reports, Depp may or may not be a part of the upcoming movie Pirates of the Caribbean 5. If the rumors are to be true, Disney is now unhappy with Depp, believing that the 54-year old actor has already lost his charm and would not be able to attract the audience as he did before.

Disney to replace Johnny Depp?

Pirates of the Caribbean 5, which is set to release on May 2017, is almost finished. Depp has already shot the scenes as Jack Sparrow, but Disney is still giving some second thoughts on it and might like a new face for the role, in which the said fresh face will be reshooting Depp's scenes. But according to other reports, Disney is reshooting some of Depp's the scenes in order to focus on other characters in the movie as well.

Johnny Depp's reputation is in turmoil

Moreover, there is no denying that Johnny Depp has dipped down and he has been unable to revive his former charisma. The ups and downs in his personal life badly hampered his image, most especially his former wife Amber Heard's domestic violence allegations against him. That is possibly the main reason why Disney is not really interested in having Johnny Depp as the lead in the Pirates of the Caribbean 5.

Will Turner might take up the lead role

There were also reports that the upcoming movie will be revolving around Henry Turner, son of Will Turner, played by Orlando Bloom. Maybe in the movie, Johnny will have a very little role. The story is speculated to revolve around Henry Turner and the villain Captain Salazar. In the 5th installment of the franchise, Henry Turner will possibly take the lead role this time and not Johnny Depp's iconic Jack Sparrow.
