Kerry Washington and her NFL player husband Nnamdi Asomugha are reportedly expecting their first child together.

"She's about four months along," a source told Us Weekly.

The couple had been dating since the summer of 2012 before getting married in a secret ceremony on June 24.

In a recent interview with Glamour magazine, the actress "Scandal" actress revealed why she chooses to keep her private life extremely concealed from the public eye.

"I learned through experience that it doesn't work for me to talk about my personal life," Washington told the women's magazine. "I've had earlier times in my career when I did talk about it. I was on the cover of a bridal magazine [InStyle Weddings, in 2005, when Washington was engaged to actor David Moscow]. But I couldn't just turn around and say, 'I only want to talk about the good stuff, but not the bad stuff.' So I just thought, OK, no more."

When Glamour asked the actress about her secret wedding, she laughed and revealed:

"I don't want to sound smug about it...but the point is to do what's best for me. I have girlfriends in this business who talk about their personal lives, and it works for them, and I love it. But not for me."

No word yet as to how "Scandal" producers and writers will handle Washington's pregnancy. It seems unlikely Washington's character Olivia Pope would have a baby with the President Fitzgerald Grant.

However, with the show's constant twists and turns, an Olivia Pope pregnancy would be a huge shocker. What would Olivia's dad Eli Pope say or do to her to "clean up" such a "mess?"

There are endless possibilities and "Scandal's" gladiator army will be on the edge of their seats to see what happens next.
