Police discovered a drunk badger by a beachside and was surrendered to a Polish animal rescue shelter, Dzika Ostoja. The badger had a two-day hangover after drinking seven bottles of beer that he stole from beach-goers.
The badger evidently bit the cap of the beer and was able to drink them. Since badgers rarely grow to weigh more than 20 pounds, her alcohol intake was too much for her body.
A video of the animal eating was posted on Facebook with a caption saying, "As of today, Wandzia still under the light 'influence' but begins to eat-lying down, but it is progress [sic]," the shelter said.
The animal was provided with food and extra care as well as visits to the veterinarian to make sure she is okay. She managed to eat her food while lying down but is still a bit drowsy because of the effects of the beer.
After she overcomes her hangover, they badger will be released back into the wild.
