Cat-loving yogis all over Canada took part in a yoga class called "Cats On Your Mats," where eight adorable kittens roamed around the studio pawing and purring while participants did some stretches.

Yoga fanatics gathered together Sunday morning at Stretch Vancouver for the event, which aims to raise money for the Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association (VOKRA).

"This is the most distracting class I've ever taught!" instructor Julia McCabe said of the unusual yoga class, according to CBC News.

The event was also organized by Catfé, which is also planning on opening up a cat café in the British Columbia capital before the end of the year.

Michelle Furbacher, founder of Catfé, said that the café is a great way to bring together cat lovers all in one place.

"Having this calm atmosphere ... makes it more comfortable for the cats to come to people as opposed to being chased by people," Furbacher said.

For those who want to take part in another session of Cats on Mats, the next scheduled event will take place on Jan. 17 of next year.
