Pat Doody is a biker, a self-professed tool collector, a sheet metal worker and now a cat man. And it all started on a return trip from California to South Jersey where he resides, reported Bored Panda.

Doody was coming home from the Born Free Motorcycle show in California when he stopped in Las Vegas for gas and there he was — a teeny, scruffy orange kitten that had been badly burned and was lost, hanging out at the truck stop.

"I was at this truck stop getting gas, and this little guy just needed help," said Doody. "He was pretty badly burned, so I picked him up and tucked him inside my vest." And away they went, said Love Meow, rolling down the highway, out on the open road, a man and his kitten. Oh the visual! And you can see the pictures right here to verify.

Party Cat, as he was ironically named, is a very chill kitten, said Doody. He lived on the road with the biker until they got home, eating little dry foil packets of tuna.

By the time they finally rolled into Jersey, Party Cat's burns were healed except for a tiny little spot on his lip. He is now looking good, eating regular meals and loving having a person of his own finally. Life isn't good for anyone on the streets and it is even tougher for a young, injured kitten. Now the Nevada transplant is a Jersey boy hanging out at Doody's shop and living the life he deserves.

Doody said anytime he hits a festival now, he is known as the guy who drove across the county with a stray kitten in his vest, according to One Green Planet. People love having their picture taken with both him and Party Cat.

Lucky little kitten at the right place, at the right time — and saved by one of the good guys.
