Taylor Swift doesn't have any bad blood with Avril Lavigne despite a Twitter misunderstanding earlier this week. Swift proved it by inviting the rocker for a duet onstage at the Petco Park stadium in San Diego to sing Lavigne's 2002 hit song "Complicated," TIME reported.

"So incredible sharing the stage with @AvrilLavigne! 'Complicated' is such a brilliant pop song and I just love her," Swift tweeted after the concert.

The ladies shared the stage and delighted fans with the surprise duet, and Swift took over vocal duties on the second verse, according to fan-shot footage from the concert. Lavigne was happy to be the latest celebrity to join Swift during her "1989 World Tour."

"Such a Pleasure to perform 'Complicated' tonight with @taylorswift on her #1989 world tour! She ROCKS," Lavigne wrote on Instagram, and added three blue heart emojis.

Their performance came just after Lavigne responded to Swift liking a Tumblr post that compared her enthusiastic meet-and-greet interactions with fans to other artists like Lavigne, who is known to pose awkwardly with fans, Us Weekly reported. Lavigne responded immediately and squashed the would-be beef.

"Comparison is judging and judging a person does not define who they are it defines who you are. We all Love our fans," Lavigne tweeted. "So let's keep it all about the love and stay positive."

Swift also invited OMI onstage with her at the Petco Park stadium to perform his summer hit song "Cheerleader," according to TIME.
