Robert Downey Jr. To Say Goodbye To Iron Man Before It Gets Embarrassing; Admires Marvel’s Moves

Robert Downey Jr. plans to hang his Iron Man jersey before it gets embarrassing for him but he is highly supportive of the Marvel Studios future projects. He feels it is on the right path and it would delight him to be a part of the journey.

Robert Downey Jr. has charmed millions of fans with his portrayal of Iron Man aka Tony Stark but he also has plans to quit the role that made him a superstar. According to E! News, the 52-year-old actor has said that he plans to hang his boots before it gets embarrassing for him. In an interview, Robert said that playing Iron Man has been a cyclical thing for him and for him the role has been always about people and opportunities.

Robert Downey Jr. admitted that every time he takes up Iron Man, he does so with a strong base and he always intends to better his performance. Notably, Robert has played Iron Man seven times in films and the next Marvel film "Avengers: Infinity War" will see him essaying the superhero character for the eight time. So, speculations have been afloat that it could be his last movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In the meantime, Robert Downey Jr. feels Marvel Studios is making the right moves, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. The actor is all praise for the studio and would love to continue the journey with it. However, he is also aware of his above-fifty age that might create hindrances in this journey. He said that the clock is ticking fast and he knows he has limited time to participate in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Not only this, Robert Downey Jr. also hinted about the upcoming journey of Iron Man. He disclosed that the upcoming Avengers movie will give out signals as to where Tony Stark is headed in the following Captain America movie.
