Rosario Dawson is no longer a part of "New Mutants" as she has left the project. Alice Braga has stepped in to take her place and director Josh Boone has said that they are trying to do something very different in this "X-Men" spinoff movie.

Alice Braga is the new face to have joined "New Mutants" star cast. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 34-year-old Brazilian actress has replaced Rosario Dawson in the "X-Men" spinoff movie and it is not yet known as to why Dawson left the project. What is known is that Braga will be playing Dr. Cecilia Reyes in the film who is a doctor and possesses supernatural abilities. She can create a protective bio-field around herself and also possess other secret powers.

Notably, Alice Braga has previously starred in films like "Predators," "Elysium" and "I Am Legend."
