Those planning on buying the Nexus 7 Tablet from the Google Store will not be happy to hear about the product's current status.

Google has pulled the 7-inch tablet from its Store website, leaving a note in red type stating the device is "no longer available for purchase," according to The Verge.

The device, built by Taiwanese electronics company Asus, made its debut in July 2013 and has managed to stay relevant to consumers thanks to updates with the latest versions of Android.

The Nexus 7 isn't the first gadget that Google has discontinued, as the search giant did the same to the Nexus 5 smartphone in March, SlashGear reported. The release of the Nexus 9 tablet last fall confirmed the Nexus 7's replacement.

There is still hope for Nexus 7 fans, as they can still buy the tablet from Amazon and other places while supplies last.
