Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom Latest Celebrities To Get Star On Hollywood Walk of Fame

"The California Girls" singer will be joining countless other celebrities with her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. This is a huge accomplishment for anyone in the entertainment industry.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Perry was part of the 2014 Walk of Fame Honorees. She will be joining other actors, actresses, musicians and television personalities including Orlando Bloom, Matthew McConaughey, Tupac, Claire Danes, Liam Neeson, Kaley Cuoco, Sally Field, Jessica Lang, Deirdre Hall, Tavis Smiley and the late Phil Hartman.

The Walk of Fame recognizes professionals in film, television, radio and the recording industries.

"We have a great mix of celebrities and industry executives who have made Hollywood what it is today - one of the greatest entertainment destinations in the world," David Green, a chairman of the Walk of Fame selection committee told The Hollywood Reporter. "The new selections will bring great joy and fond memories for those millions who visit Hollywood each year!"

Earlier in the week, Jennifer Lopez was awarded with a star. She fought back tears as her name became the 2,500th star to be placed on the infamous sidewalk.

"I really am overwhelmed. This all feels, I don't know, kind of surreal, but really so real. It's so awesome," Lopez said. "My dream was always to entertain, to be a performer. Stardom really wasn't what I sought. I never really thought about being famous or having money. I just wanted to be good at what I did. I wanted to be a great actress, singer and performer. I wanted people to come to see me on stage because of what I did, not because of who I was. Scrutiny, criticism, fame and celebrity may be the trappings of stardom and I would endure them all to share the joy of entertaining you."
