There's a super popular internet meme that proffers this pithy dictum: "Always be yourself. Unless you can be Batman, always be Batman."

For musician and designer Steve Hatmaker Jr., this rule also applies to guitars.

Since customizing the Schecter guitar with images and logos from various Batman comics, Hatmaker says the simple project of love has been well received by fans of the guitar and the Caped Crusader.

The Schecter guitar has thus far reached more than 4,000 likes and 500 shares since being featured in a Facebook post by guitar and pickup manufacturer Seymour Duncan. Hatmaker also tweeted about it and you can see the tweet below:

Hatmaker wants fans to know that they shouldn't be surprised if they see him thrashing away on his prize creation with the rest of his Hydra Effect bandmates at a concert in the not-too-distant future.
