A new law has been passed in New Jersey that prohibits Jersey Shore visitors from sagging their pants has recieved harsh criticism from rapper The Game according to TMZ.
The "Jesus Piece" rapper, who's real name is Jayceon Taylor, compares the law to slavery.
"N***** should sag down to their socks out there," he told TMZ. "They trying to get people to not sag, please. Can't tell people how to wear their f***ing clothes. What time are we in? This ain't the f***ing slave days. F*** that."
Rapper Bizzy Bone, from the group Bone Thugs-n-Harmony also believed the law singled out a group of people.
"Are they talking about black people? How can they do that? This is racist and ridiculous," he told TMZ.
According to Fox News, the ban will be implemented starting July 2. Those who do not adhere to the law could face a fine "as high as $200 and 40 hours of community service." The lowest fine is $25. Fox News reports that "civil libertarians say the law is unconstitutional".
"I just think that's ridiculous because no one has time to do that much community service," rapper Mac Miller said. "I sag and will say anywhere I do."
"This is just adding a little bit of decency to our town," Mayor Ernest Troiano Jr. told reporters. "It's amazing -- and this is a pun -- how far decency has fallen through the cracks.
The Game vows to support those who go against the law and continue to sag their pants.
"I am with the sagging movement. First five people to get fines, I will pay their tickets. I will go there and sag cause I am a sagging Sagittarius," he said.
No reports have been made of any lawmakers challenging the law. Fox News claims the law was "passed unanimously."
