Wyoming Woman Bites Off Part Of Boyfriend's Chin During Argument, Cops Say

An argument between a woman and her boyfriend ended with the woman biting off a chunk of her boyfriend's chin, Wyoming authorities said.

Lola Lauren Brush was charged with felony aggravated assault and domestic battery following the bloody argument Saturday at the couple's apartment in Jackson, Wyoming, the Jackson Hole News & Guide reported.

Police were called to the home after neighbors reported shouting coming from inside. Brush allegedly beat the unnamed victim with a baseball bat and two snow shovels after biting his face.

A search of the apartment turned up a strip of skin with the boyfriend's beard attached, police said. Blood was also found scattered throughout the apartment and on the handle of a kids "Spongebob Squarepants" snow shovel she allegedly beat him with, the News & Guide reported.

The boyfriend was taken to a hospital where he received several stitches for his chin. An exact number of stitches wasn't reported but an emergency room doctor eventually "lost count," according to court records obtained by the newspaper.

It is not clear what caused the argument that began when Brush and the victim were traveling home from a hockey game.

A judge ordered the alleged biter to refrain from contacting her boyfriend and to attend therapy. She was also ordered to abstain from drinking alcohol and is to undergo breath tests twice a day.

Brush was later released on $7,500 bond, which was unsecured because Tenton County Deputy Prosecutor Terry Rogers fears she is a "very violent" flight risk. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled Thursday.
