Thanks to People magazine's annual Sexiest Man Alive competition the stage is set for Blake Shelton and Adam Levine to take their rowdy on-air bromance to a stratospheric level on the new season of "The Voice." It's going to be fun to watch the two coaches when NBC's popular show returns in February.

Here's the set-up: Adam Levine won People's Sexiest Man Alive contest in 2013-and his face was splashed on the magazine's cover. Shelton and Levine were quick to exchange verbal jabs and barbs about the competition on "The Voice" and elsewhere. Shelton even took Levine's win to task on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno," joking with Leno that Levine did have some "feminine qualities."

This year, Shelton was in the thick of People's Sexiest Man Alive foray, but Chris Hemsworth of Marvel's "Thor" film fame won the coveted title and had his chiseled face on the cover.

Now, if you don't think Levine is going to zing Shelton on the air about the country star not winning the 2014 competition when he won the 2013 contest, think again. In fact, it's already started ... between seasons.

During a recent video where Shelton was updating fans about his off-season activities, he answered some questions he had received.

"'Are you and Adam really as competitive as you act like you are, and does he rub it in when he beats you at anything?'" Shelton reads in the video, as reported by Today.com. Rather than give the fan a verbal answer, he provided a visual one.

As if on cue - and, of course, it was on cue - the garage door behind Shelton slowly begins to open. "Ladies and gentleman, today I received a package from Adam Levine, and I think this answers that question," explains Shelton.

The fully open garage door revealed a monstrous mega-copy of Levine's Sexiest Man Alive cover. The cover dwarfed the 6-foot-5 Shelton.

"This is why Adam Levine is a complete jackass," the fellow "Voice" coach declares, adding, "And it's also why I love him so much."

Season six of "The Voice" premieres Feb. 24 . Let the Shelton-Levine games begin! Or, rather, continue!
