"Armikrog" is an upcoming, Claymation-based video game by animation wizard Doug TenNapel ("Earthworm Jim" and the TV series "Catscratch"). TenNapel has partnered with Pencil Test Studios to create a spiritual successor to another of TenNapel's famous creations the 1996 game, "The Neverhood" which was also Claymation based. The very cool looking trailer was distributed this week to backers of the Kickstarter campaign, which raised close to $1 million last year. Check it out:

The game itself follows the adventures of a space explorer named Tommynaut and his blind alien, talking dog named Beak-Beak. They crash land on a weird planet and end up locked in a mysterious fortress called "Armikrog." It is then that the true adventure begins.

"Armikrog" is a point-and-click adventure game that features all of the characteristics of TenNapel's unmistakable style: Quirky and lovable characters, unique worlds, a compelling story, mind-bending puzzles, great animation, and tons of Claymation goodness.

The title will feature the voice acting talents of Michael J. Nelson ("Mystery Science Theater 3000") and Rob Paulsen (Yakko and Pinky in "Animaniacs," and Raphael in "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles").

"Armikrog" will be released sometime in 2015 for PC, Mac, Linux, and the Wii U, according to Cartoon Brew.
