India won the first ODI against Sri Lanka by a staggering 169 runs. The squad's batsmen were on point Sunday, shredding Sri Lanka's bowlers for a run rate of 7.26. Ajinkya Rahane earned the Man of the Match award for his performance, which included scoring 111 runs, and both Shikhar Dhawan and Suresh Raina added 113 and 52 runs, respectively.

On the bowling front, Ishant Sharma took four wickets and record eight outs, and Umesh Yadav took two wickets and recorded 6.2 outs.

Sri Lanka, meanwhile, was restricted to a run rate of 4.95. No Sri Lankan batsmen reached the half-century mark, with Mahela Jayawardene leading the team with 43 runs. Sri Lanka's bowlers also struggled - Suraj Randiv recorded team highs with 10 outs and three wickets taken.
