War Machine reportedly left a few suicide notes in his jail cell before he tried to take his own life last week. According to TMZ, one of the notes was directed at War Machine's ex-girlfriend, porn star Christy Mack, whom he allegedly beat in her Las Vegas home.
In the note (which you can read here), War Machine claims he's the victim in this ordeal. He also references his split with Mack, saying that once they got back together "something seemed different about you."
War Machine also talked about the brutal attack, writing that he was shocked when he learned Mack was supposedly cheating on him.
"That night I was so excited to see you. Finding what I found that night was devastating to me, more than you will ever know," he wrote. "Not just the unfaithfulness, but the way u cared for him and protected him."
"Not a day goes by that I don't wish that you weren't hurt that night, I hope you know that," War Machine added. "If I could do it all over again, I'd just have laid down and let him beat me up, maybe you still loved me enough to stop him and make him leave."
"I forgive you, please forgive me," he added.
Last week, TMZ broke the story that the former MMA fighter tried to commit suicide in his jail cell but a guard stopped him. According to the site, on Tuesday evening (Oct. 14) an officer saw War Machine sitting on the ground with his feet on the bunk bed.
When the guard asked the former fighter what he was doing, War Machine was unresponsive. Reportedly, he was seen with a piece of linen wrapped around his neck with the other end tied to the leg of the bed. The guard rushed in and cut the linen.
The source claims to TMZ that War Machine tried to speak but his voice was too weak. He's not being held in a medical isolation cell, where he is now on suicide watch. According to TMZ, the former MMA star is still facing 32 charges, included attempted murder.
