Is Rosie O'Donnell on time-out following a rumored feud with her "The View" co-host Whoopi Goldberg? According to the Daily News, producers are not happy that O'Donnell and Goldberg supposedly got into a heated argument last week in front of the studio audience.

To make sure it doesn't happen again, the producers reportedly want to build a "cool down room" aka "time-out room" where the cohosts can go if they get angry and need a quick break. The Daily News reports that producers have already met with set designers to create the room.

"Their dressing rooms are not close enough to the set in case of an emergency outburst," the source explained. "They are even saying they'll paint it white, and they joke it's the 'safe place' in the midst of the drama."

"Having a live audience can be sensory overload," the source added. "Rosie needs an area to tap into her inner peace, and the rest of the cast can use it for a quick unwind during a commercial break, rather than let feelings boil over on set."

Last week reports surfaced of a verbal smackdown between Goldberg and O'Donnell. According to the Daily Mail, the ladies were reportedly cursing at each other in front of the audience. A source said the drama started when O'Donnell was cut off during a "Hot Topic" discussion.

Reportedly, she had told her co-hosts - which include Goldberg, Rosie Perez and Nicolle Wallace - that she was very passionate about the topic. The source said the segment was reportedly running over its time slot so producers told Goldberg to go to a commercial break.

According to the Daily Mail, O'Donnell refuses to wear an earpiece and didn't know they needed to go to a break. Since she doesn't wear a microphone producers can't talk to her during the taping.

"As soon as they went to commercial break, Rosie took the handheld microphones that they use to engage the audience," the source said. "Instead of talking to the cast, Rosie spoke directly to Whoopi in the mic that she 'hurt my feelings,' and that she was 'very upset by it' and 'didn't appreciate' what Whoopi had done."

Goldberg tried to ignore O'Donnell but she continued and Goldberg lost it, saying "F**k it, I told you to leave it alone and you just don't want to listen. If you want to go there Rosie, I will dammit. I'm really sick of your s**t."

Rosie Perez reportedly had to calm them down.
