Tori Spelling Lawsuit: 3 Producers Suing Star and Oxygen For Allegedly Stealing Show Idea

A group of television producers are suing Tori Spelling and husband Dean McDemott for stealing their idea and creating a show featured on Oxygen called "sTORIbook Weddings" according to Radar Online.

Charles W. Malcolm, Denny O'Neil Jr. and Jake P. Hall has filed the suit against Life in A Bowl Productions, Spelling's production company, Oxygen Media, Bunim-Murray Productions and World of Wonder Productions. They're asking for $60 million.

"sTORIbook Weddings" features Spelling and her husband transforming wedding dreams into realities. The show is similar to the hit WEtv series "My Fair Wedding" in a sense where the couple takes both bride and groom to various venue's, taste testings, and other wedding duties.

Malcolm, O'Neil, and Hall claim they pitched the idea of a celebrity couple making wedding dreams come true to Oxygen and was rejected only to later see their idea come to life without them.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, "the suit says the three producers registered an idea with the Writers Guild in 2007 for a show they called 'Wedding Rescue'" and had a meeting with Oxygen in 2009. The suit continues to accuse Oxygen of stealing a second show idea from the producers that involved a tattoo competition.

Radar Online reports "the plaintiffs say they were rejected for a tattoo competition called "Tattoo Star" and the concept wound up in a 2012 show called 'Best Ink', noting the show reflected 'nearly every creative element of the 'Tattoo Star'" proposal.

Spelling and her husband have not responded to the allegations nor has Oxygen or the other companies named in the lawsuit. Spelling, however, has responded to reports that she is seeking more plastic surgery.

According to the Belfast Telegraph, the mother of four is finally happy with her appearance after a medical scare with her breast implants.
