Nicki Minaj paid a visit to R&B singer August Alsina, who is still recovering in a New York City hospital after collapsing on stage last week. The "Anaconda" rapper posted an Instagram photo with Alsina and told fans that "he's doing better."
"August, u know I'm here to save u. Still praying for my lil bro, Minaj wrote.
In the photo Alsina is wearing a breathing tube. Over the weekend his rep told TMZ that Alsina suffered several seizures while in the hospital and doctors had placed him in a medically-induced coma. The 22-year-old awoke from the coma on Saturday.
"This is a bit graphic but I wanted to share w/every follower of mine," Alsina wrote at the time, including a photo of him hooked up to a breathing machine. "...take good care of yourself. Your life can be gone in a split second. I'm recovering well and thankyou for all your prayers & concerns."
It's been a week since Alsina was hospitalized after fainting and falling off stage during a Sept. 15 performance at Irving Plaza in NYC. The love and support from fellow celebrities and fans are continuing to pour in.
"Hey you unattractive muthaf***er," comedian Kevin Hart joked in an Instagram video. "Hey man, get yourself together dude. I don't like seeing you down like this. Honestly, my prayers are with you August, I know s**t got rough for you for a minute but everything is a wakeup. Get big and get strong."
On Tuesday, Alsina once again thanked fans for their support, writing, "Recovery, it's a process. I woke from a coma... God gave me a second chance at life & I'd like to thank each and every person that sent any form and expression of love thru gift, card, flowers or simply your kind words and prayers. I'm a hustler, I'm a worker, I overwork myself at times but I'm a survivor and still here by the grace of God and your prayers."
