Batfleck has an admirer. Ben Affleck's wife, Jennifer Garner, sat down with E! News to chat about her new movie, "Men, Women & Children," and also her husband's role as Batman. Affleck was cast to play the Caped Crusader in Zack Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."

Garner admitted that Affleck has gained a lot of muscle since taking on the role, but said she loves him at whatever shape he is.

"He was in crazy shape for 'The Town.' I've seen him kind of in every different variation, so I'll take him however I can get him! But as long this is the guy I'm married to, I'm kind of like, 'Wow! That's crazy!' He looks insane. He's worked really hard," she said.

"If he happened to go back to being a normal human, I'd be fine with that, too," Garner added.

Affleck previously talked about his training process to Entertainment Weekly and said that it was a lot of pressure to meet Batman's physical appearance.

"I can tell you that every time I do a role, it's the responsibility of an actor to get their physical self as close to the role as possible," he said. "And Batman's obviously got a set of expectations that are tough. So I spent a lot of time working out. And it's a far cry from 'Gone Girl' where my character is described as 'puffy and hungover.'"

"I want you to know I worked equally hard at both," Affleck said laughing.

He also assured fans that he wouldn't have signed on for "Batman v Superman" if he didn't think he could nail it.

"Before I took the role, Warner Bros. gave me a bunch of past reactions to casting and said, 'Are you sure you want to get into this? This is part and parcel of these movies now. There's a lot of active fans with a lot of opinions.' To me, having been through a certain amount of that, it doesn't really... Everyone's entitled to their opinion. I wouldn't have taken the part if I didn't trust my instincts in terms of the filmmaking," he said.

"I think Chris Terrio wrote a terrific script. Zack [Snyder's] a great visual-director. And there's an interesting take," Affleck continued. "I wouldn't have done it if I didn't think I could do it."
