Google has revamped its Android Calendar App with 24 new colors to mark events and redesigned the date and time tool to schedule events in a "snap."
Google has been in the midst of updating its applications this week. After updating the Google Maps to include bike routes from six European countries and the announcement of the tabbed Gmail inbox, the web giant has brought yet another update to its Android Calendar App.
For those who prefer a well-organized life, here is a refreshed new look for Android Calendar App to schedule events in any fashion while on the go.
Google Software Engineer, James Kung, wrote Thursday in a blog post that adding events on the updated Calendar app for Android users is a lot easier and "more fun." It includes 24 new colors to customize events and highlights urgent and important dates.
The Calendar app further includes a redesigned date and time tool, which allows scheduling an event in a "snap." Travelers can pick up any region from the time zone picker by simply typing the name of the country with the redesigned time-zone tool.
Kung also pointed that scheduling recurring events has been made a lot easier than before. "You can now set events to repeat every Tuesday and Thursday, every month, or every 7 weeks, it's completely up to you," he wrote.
The Calendar app with custom colors is available for free on Google Play store for phones with Android 4.1 and higher.
