The sister of the alleged Boston Marathon bombers was arrested in New York City yesterday for making a bomb threat over the phone against her boyfriend's ex-girlfriend, according to NY Daily News.

Aliana Tsarnaev of North Bergen, N.J., was charged Wednesday with aggravated harassment. She is the sister of Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev, who are suspected of setting off two bombs at the Boston Marathon on April 15, 2013.

Police say Tsarnaev called her boyfriend's ex-girlfriend Monday and threated the woman, who lives in Harlem with a child she and Tsarnaev's boyfriend share, according to CNN.

"I have people who can go up there and put a bomb on you," Tsarnaev allegedly told the woman, according to police sources.

The threat came after the two have been involved in a drawn-out feud, according to NY Daily News.

Twenty-three-year-old Tsarnaev surrendered at Harlem's police station around 2:30 p.m. and was placed in custody.

Sources say she was questioned, charged and then given a desk appearance ticket. She has been released and is expected to be arraigned soon, according to Reuters via law enforcement officials.

Tsarnaev is expected to appear in Manhattan criminal court on Sept. 30, according to CNN.

Tsarnaev's brothers are suspected of being responsible for three deaths from the Boston bombing, injuring more than 260 people - including 16 people who lost limbs - and the death of a Massachusetts Institute of Technology police officer, NY Daily News reported.
