With a husband and two children in the household, Leann Rimes is looking to grow the family but is waiting for the right time to expand.
According to People, when they sat down to speak with Rimes she explained that she and husband Eddie Cibrian, "have a lot on our plates." Cibrian, 39 has two children Mason, 9 and Jake, 6, who live with the couple part time.
Cibrian was married to Brandi Glanville for nine years until they divorced in 2010. Rimes was seen as a factor in the ending of that marriage as the two engaged in an affair while filming "Northern Lights."
"But whenever I talk about kids, I'm like, 'Let's have one!'" Rimes said. "I have a lot of work to do now but I'm totally ready if it happens."
Rimes revealed that it took her mother 12 years to have her and hopes that they don't have an issue or "if I do, then a surrogate is something I've thought about."
The country singer would also be open to adoption, "Eddie and I have also talked about adopting. My capacity to love a child doesn't stop at my own eggs, obviously!"
The coupled married in 2011 but told the magazine she felt like her life was coming apart but now "I feel settled. I'm proud of our great family. Eddie is an amazing father and I love my stepsons."
When asked when she expects the arrival, the 30-year old revealed that she would like a girl, "Testosterone is all around here so I need a little girl!"
The Grammy-winning singer will be releasing a new album entitled "Spitfire" which is out on June 4.
