Actor Michael Fassbender let the “X-Men: Apocalypse” crew exactly where he sees Magento’s character going in the next film.

During an interview with IGN, Fassbender spoke about his meetings with “X-Men” writer Simon Kinberg. The actor has played Magneto in two films and is excited to see how the events of “X-Men: Days of Future Past” will affect “Apocalypse.”

"Yeah, I mean, I haven't got a script or anything yet, but I'm always excited to see where Simon Kinberg's going to go with the next X-Men,” Fassbender said. “X-Men's been great to me and allowed me to do so much, including films like Frank. I've had a lot of fun with the cast and with the character, Magneto. So I had a good chat with Simon [Kinberg] when we were on our way to Moscow, and we tossed around some ideas on the plane over there. So I'm pretty excited to see how it all comes together."

However, Fassenber isn’t sure if he’ll be able to reprise his role as Magneto in after the upcoming “Apocalypse.”

"Well, I can't really tell you," the actor told IGN. "I want it to be in the next one! I've had these conversations with Simon and there's a certain strand of his story that I think is pretty interesting and would like to explore, if we could."

As for who the rumored Four Horsemen will be in “Apocalypse,” Fassbender didn’t reveal their identities, but Kinberg recently dished details to The Latino Review. The writer teased the film is looking into “X-Men” source material to decide on the characters.

“I will tell you this and obviously there are a lot of different versions of the Horseman over the books, and this will not reveal any of the identities so I apologize in advance,” Kinberg told the Latino Review. “I will let you know that our choosing of the Horseman was something that we, [director Bryan Singer] and myself took very, very seriously and did only after an exhaustive review of all the different Horseman, both in the comics and the cartoons who have at one point or another fallen under Apocalypse.”

“X-Men: Apocalypse” is slated to hit theaters on May 27, 2016.
