Missing Oregon Mom's Body Found Near SUV In Remote Forest

An Oregon mother who went missing nearly two weeks ago was found dead Tuesday in a rural area of Yamhill County, authorities told KATU.

Jennifer Huston was last seen July 24 after she left her home in Dundee, Oregon, to run errands. The Newburg-Dundee Police Department said her SUV was found late Tuesday on a road in a forested area in Sheridan.

Huston's body was found about 50 yards away from her vehicle. The 38-year-old was wearing the same clothes she had on when she disappeared, KATU reported.

Newberg police said the green Lexus SUV did not appear to have been in an accident. They also did not specify the cause of death and said the investigation is ongoing. An autopsy is expected to be performed on Wednesday.

"While this is an active death investigation, there is nothing at this point to indicate foul play and there is no evidence to believe the public is in danger," Newberg-Dundee police said according to HLN-TV.
