iWatch Rumors: Details Of New Apple Device Leaked? (VIDEO)

Apple insiders and tech blogs have been speculating about the existence of an iWatch, an Apple device that can be worn around one's wrist offering Apple iOS capabilities to the user.

Some have even speculated that it will incorporate biometric functionalities to track things like the wearer's pulse so that it can be used as a workout device.

Noted KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, responsible with predicting many Apple products before they were released, wrote a letter to investors last week, which was obtained by Apple Insider, which predicted the release date of the watch to be sometime in the second half of 2014, there had been previous rumors about it being released later this year but all rumors and evidence seem to contradict that estimate.

It's likely that Apple Inc. will use the iWatch to combat Google's wearable tech product, the Google Glass, which sits on a persons head like a pair of glasses offering connectivity to the electronic world while someone is out and about in public. This could usher in a new trend of popular electronics being augmented to be wearable tools.

News for the iWatch picked up the most steam in February when rumors of patents on new batteries and curved glass were picked up and reported by The Wall Street Journal, the New York Times and Bloomberg independently reported rumors of a new developing watch product from Apple. Kuo predicts the new product will feature a 1.5 to 2-inch display and will be a touch screen product similar to the new iPad mini and iPod nano.

Along with Kuo's recent report, a rumor went viral over the past few days that Apple may have incorporated a subliminal plug for the iWatch in its latest TV add for the iPhone 5 titled "Music Every Day."

In the video below a man is drumming on a table at 0:29, and many have speculated that his electronic watch might be an iWatch prototype in some new form of leaked information advertising.
