Redditor kmhokies35 provided a comprehensive graphic map that details the most hated NFL teams in each US state. For the most part, division opponents played a big factor in each state's preference.

However, this wasn't the case for every region. For example, Arizona and New Mexico were found to hate the Pittsburgh Steelers the most, which is likely the result of Super Bowl XLIII when the Steelers defeated the Arizona Cardinals in the final seconds. Additionally, Indiana reported hating the New England Patriots the most due to the rivalry matchups between Peyton Manning and Tom Brady during Manning's years on the Colts.

Other findings were interesting, including the San Francisco 49ers being least liked in Nebraska and Iowa and the Seattle Seahawks being hated throughout California, Nevada and Utah. We know Seattle is definitely hated in California, but usually the Oakland Raiders fans would have a louder opinion than San Francisco 49ers fans. Not surprising were the Eagles being hated in Texas and the Cowboys being hated in Pennsylvania and Virginia, as well as the Patriots' poor popularity in New York along with the Jets' in New England.

This map is very diverse compared to the previous Reddit map that detailed the same information for NBA teams, which only depicted four of the league's 30 teams. The same Redditor also submitted a map of the most hated NFL teams by continent, with the Patriots and 49ers being hated the most worldwide. North America was split between the United States' and Mexico's hatred for the 49ers and Canada's hatred for the New York Giants. Australia also hated the 49ers the most. The Patriots were hated most by Asia and South America, the Cowboys were least liked in Africa, and the Ravens were hated throughout Europe. There were no results for Antarctica.
