The New York Police Department (NYPD) has responded to Amanda Bynes' sexual assault claims according to People.
"Internal Affairs Investigators have found no evidence to corroborate Ms. Bynes' allegations," said the NYPD in a statement. "To the contrary, a credible civilian witness who was with the officers throughout told investigators that none touched Ms. Bynes inappropriately or otherwise engaged in misconduct at any time."
Bynes was arrested for drug possession, reckless endangerment, and tampering with evidence. In the mist of being handcuffed, Bynes said an officer "slapped [her] vagina." The unpredictable actor turned aspiring rapper used Twitter to tell her side of the story and provide the public with a list of things she will be suing the NYPD for. The list includes sexual harassment and false arrest.
Bynes feels there's no need to further discuss the issue but ensures her Twitter followers that this is not the last time they will see her name headline media news. She said she'll be focusing on her fitness to prepare for her upcoming rap career. The actor also denounces all accusations placed before her as she reminds the public that she is allergic to drugs and alcohol but she does indulge in tobacco.
According to Radar Online, the parents of the troubled star, Rick and Lynn, are aware that their daughter is using drugs but credits her unstable mental health to be the real issue.
"Amanda has clearly been using drugs, yes, including marijuana, but that is just the symptom," said a family insider. "The fact is Amanda suffers from severe mental health issues that she refuses to accept. Rick and Lynn want her to seek in-patient treatment at a psychiatric hospital so she can be properly treated."
No response from Bynes, yet.
