Jennifer Lawrence and her boyfriend Nicholas Hoult have allegedly parted ways, Kristen Stewart may have had a role to play in the split.
Stewart and Hoult are currently in Tokyo, Japan, to co-star as lovers in "Equals", and rumors of them being more than just friends or co-stars emerged after photographs of them on a dinner date went viral. Although it is normal for two co-stars to go out for dinner, the date comes just a few days after a rumored split between Hoult and Lawrence made the rounds.
Reportedly, Lawrence's "explosive ego" caused a rift in their relationship, and since then the actor has been spotted getting cozy with other actresses, including Riley Keough.
"Jen is still desperately trying to get back with Nicholas after he broke up with her," a Celebrity Fix source revealed. "They're still talking but Nicholas is moving on. He hates how in love with fame Jen is, and he told her he hates dating an A-list actress."
"That was the most hurtful to Jen because she's worked so hard for her achievements and she's so proud of her career. But Nic wants a more low-key girlfriend and Riley fits the bill," the source continued. "Riley is into acting in indies and not playing the fame game. She also spends a huge amount of time in the UK because her mom Lisa Marie Presley lives there. Nic dated Riley when he and Jen were on their last break too and he is ready to give their relationship a shot."
However, there seems to be no truth to the story, as Keough has been dating her stuntman boyfriend Ben Smith-Peterson for some time now, and there appears to be no trouble in their relationship.
Hoult prefers to live in the U.K. rather than in Los Angeles, and the distance is said to have caused his split with Lawrence in 2012. But they reignited their romance during filming of "X-Men: Days of Future Past" last year.
This is not the first time a controversy revolving around the two leading ladies has made the rounds. In May 2012, Hollywood Life reported that Stewart and Lawrence were battling it out to bag a role in the film "Lie Down in Darkness." This professional battle later led to a personal feud, which of course the actresses denied. In fact, they were so bent on proving that there was no rivalry and that they planned a "girls night out" and hung out together at the Toronto Film Festival in September that year. The two were even seen embracing each other at the red carpet during the Academy Awards
"She's so cool," Stewart said of the Hunger Games actress, according to MTV News. "I was a lot younger than her when I first sort of entered this world of franchise land, and I don't know, I guess we sort of both went, 'Wow, this is so weird.' We actually sat in a corner with Emma Watson as well, the three of us. We were like, 'Wow, this is strange. This is really cool.'"
It is reported that the 23-year-old Lawrence even attempted to clear all the rumors and bad-blood fueled by the media between the two through an email in 2012, reports entertainmentwise.com. Co-incidentally the two represent rival French brands, Dior and Chanel. Lawrence is the face of Dior handbags, which also has Robert Pattinson fronting the fragrance Dior Homme!
