Dad Leaves Crying Infant Twins Alone In Car While He Has Sex

A Virginia father was charged with child endangerment last Friday for leaving his 1-year-old twin daughters alone in a car to go have sex, the WTVR reported.

Juan Munford, 47, is accused of leaving his babies in the car outside a duplex in Prince George County while he had sex with a woman behind the building. Neighbors on Bull Hill Road heard the twins crying and called police, who arrived to find the twins in the car parked in the driveway with the windows down.

"We went around to the back of the duplex and discovered a male and a female engaging in sexual intercourse," Prince George Police Captain Brian Kei told WTVR. "At that point they [police] made contact with the individual who identified himself as the father of the two twins."

The couple was no more than 30 feet away from the car, police said. Munford was arrested and charged with two counts of felony child endangerment and indecent exposure. The woman Munford was caught with, Latoya Wilson, was also charged with indecent exposure and released, the New York Daily News reported.

The twins received a checkup at Southside Regional Medical Center as a precaution. They are now with child protective services, the station reported.

Munford was arrested the same week a Maryland mother was released on bond after being charged with leaving her 7-year-old son and dog inside a hot car for at least 90 minutes, CBS Baltimore reported.

The child was found "very sweaty" and "seated in direct sunlight," according to a police report. The dog was also exposed to the heat but police accused the mother of caring more for her dog because she left water for the pet and not her son.

Munford remains in jail pending a court hearing scheduled for this week.
