A Mexican national who has been deported from the United States four times was arrested Saturday for breaking into a Parker County home in Texas and allegedly fondling a 9-year-old girl, the Daily Caller reported. Although it remains unclear whether the suspect had any past history of violent crimes during his previous stays in the country, it was confirmed that he had arrived in Texas 30 days ago.
Israel Andrade, 35, was identified as the suspect to have allegedly broken into a Springtown, Tex. home around 6 a.m., WFAA reports. He allegedly came through a bedroom window and molested the girl as she slept on a couch with her siblings.
The 9-year-old girl told deputies that she was awakened by a man groping her, who then motioned her to follow him to one of the bedrooms, Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler said in a Sunday news release. Instead, the girl ran screaming into her parents' bedroom while the intruder made an exit through the same window, he said.
Andrade allegedly also stole the family's computer and their cell phones, forcing the girl's mother to drive to a nearby convenience store to contact the police. Deputies were able to track down Andrade, who was found at a friend's home sleeping on top of a pile of the phones, through evidence of his set of footprints, in addition to finding two pairs of the child's panties wrapped inside a pair of Andrade's blue jeans, according to Fox DFW.
The sheriff's department stated that Andrade's relatives confirmed that he had re-entered the U.S. about a month ago, with records from the Immigration and Naturalization Service showing him to be deported on four separate occasions - in July 2003, Feb. 2004, Sept. 2009, and Dec. 2010, according to WFAA.
"How long will we have to tolerate this type of injustice?" Fowler asked in a written statement criticizing U.S's immigration policy, according to WFAA. "It is time for American citizens to make a stand and begin petitioning for tighter security at our borders in order to protect our citizens."
The incident occurs amid an unfolding border crisis occurring in southern Texas as tens of thousands of illegal immigrants are being apprehended at the border and shipped to various locations in the U.S.
According to WFAA, Andrade faces a first-degree felony charge of indecency with a child by sexual contact, as well as burglary of a habitation.
