Germany and Brazil are the first semi-finalists of the FIFA World Cup 2014. Who with join them?

The first semi-finals of the FIFA World Cup 2014 is going to be a crackers! Football fans are in for a good game of football and Brazil meets Germany next week to secure a place in the tournament's finals.

In the quarter finals, Brazil played Colombia and beat them 2-1. Colombia was one of the underdogs of this world cup and performed way above everyone's expectations. They beat the likes of Greece and Uruguay to secure a place in the quarter finals. Unfortunately, they couldn't get the better of the Brazilians but didn't go down without a fight. They also did some real damage for the South American teams. Brazil's star striker Neymar is injured and won't be able to play for the country during the semi-finals.

Germany also secured its place in the semi-finals with a 1-0 win against France. The only goal of the match came in the 13th minute and was scored by Mats Hummels. Germany has been one of the strongest contenders of this tournament with many predicting that they may win the cup this time round. They've been hungry for a win for a long time. Last world cup, they were the frontrunners and the top goal scorers until Spain put an end to their winning streak.

Neymar's injury can be a crucial factor in the clash of the titans! Colombian defender Juan Zuniga may have had a hand to play in this. After the match he told the media that he didn't mean to injure the Brazilian striker.

"I never meant to hurt the player. I was on the field, playing for the shirt of my country," he said in a media report.

Early predictions have it that the game may end in a goalless draw, forcing it to extra time or maybe even penalties. Brazil may seem a slim victory over Germany - home ground advantage probably!
