Kirstie Alley Loses 20 Pounds: Actress Celebrates Weight Loss With Jenny Craig on Twitter (TWEETS)

Kirstie Alley is getting lean.

The 63-year-old actress revealed Tuesday that she has lost 20 pounds thanks to Jenny Craig, Us Weekly reported. The former "Cheers" actress made the exciting announcement on Twitter to her 1.23 million followers.

"I'm down 20 lbs*!!! That's like losing 3 lemurs! Thanks @JennyCraig!! *typical loss 1-2 lbs a week" Alley tweeted alongside a photo of three of her pet lemurs, a group of which she has reportedly taken care of for 30 years.

A second tweet read "On my way to my 30 lb weight loss...join me!!!! FEELS GOOD!!!"

In April, Alley was re-hired as a celebrity spokesperson for the weight loss company. In a commercial for Jenny Craig, the actress said that she is not "circus fat" but wanted to lose 20 pounds. Jenny Craig has also acquired Alley's Organic Liaison line, which is marketed to "help increase energy, promote relaxation, aid sleep, and cleanse your system."

The partnership came seven years after parting ways with Jenny Craig. The star previously was a Jenny Craig spokeswoman in 2004 and lost 75 pounds. In 2007 she and the diet company parted ways. Alley revealed to NBC's TODAY that while watching her sitcom, "Kirstie," she had a revelation and realized that she needed to shed a couple of pounds.

In 2011, Alley lost 100 pounds on her own Organic Liaison weight-loss plan and by working out for "Dancing with the Stars," but she was unable to keep the weight off. Monty Sharma, Jenny Craig CEO, said in a statement that when Alley reached out for help, they "welcomed her with open arms."

"We hope that having Kirstie return as our ambassador will provide continued encouragement to our members who have also struggled with their own weight and are looking for a program that works," Sharma said.

Alley has yet to share a picture of her slimmer figure nor has she been photographed out in public since she signed on to the weight loss company.
