George Clooney Spotted Enjoying Romantic Dinner Date With Fiancé Amal Alamuddin

George Clooney was recently spotted enjoying a romantic dinner date with his fiancé Amal Alamuddin, according to media reports.

George Clooney's sudden engagement to lawyer Amal Alamuddin has been the talk of tinsel town for some time now. Ever since the ageing actor proposed to the British attorney, the two have been spotted spending quality time together on various occasions. Very recently, the couple was spotted holding hands and enjoying a romantic dinner date at the hotel Villa D'Este in Cernobbio Village in Italy.

It was only last month that Clooney took Alamuddin to visit Downton Abbey's Highclere Castle in Hampshire, a county outside London, according to an Us Weekly report. Earlier this week, the 36-year-old lawyer and her mom were photographed at Milano Malpensa Airport after reportedly spending the weekend together at Clooney's Lake Como house.

According to recent media reports, the "Gravity" actor proposed to his fiancé with a $750,000 ring. Though news of the engagement went public when witnesses heard the couple toasting the event while dinning with Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber, the actor and his fiancé have refused to comment.

According to E! News, Jeweler Jean Dousett confirmed to them that Clooney presented the lawyer with a 7-carat, emerald-cut diamond ring set in platinum.

"Typically the very best and purist rough diamonds are reserved for emerald diamonds," he said adding that it was a "sophisticated" selection.

Clooney was first spotted with Alamuddin in October last year. However, there were no rumors of a relationship then because Clooney was in a relationship with Monika Jakisic. However, when the two attended a White House screening of "Monuments Men" together, it was confirmed that they were seeing each other.

Radar Online sources confirmed that Alamuddin is already planning the wedding in a big way and if all goes right, it will take place in September, most probably in London.

"The wedding is to take place in September," a source told the tabloid. "They've told family and friends they will only disclose the location at the last minute, and it will be very private. Neither George nor Amal want the wedding to be a public affair - and her family really doesn't either."

The source also confirmed that the couple wants to start a family immediately after the wedding.
