Galaxy Note 3 Release Date: Samsung To Possibly Launch At IFA 2013 in September

Now that the next phone in the Galaxy S series—the Galaxy S4—is confirmed, on TV and hitting stores soon, the Galaxy Note 3 can become the target of mass speculations and rumors.

As for right now no real release date or even month has been confirmed. However according to GottaBeMobile.com, there are heavy rumors that a Galaxy Note 3 reveal could happen at IFA 2013 in Berlin, Germany. Presently, September 6, is believed to be the smartphone’s launch date. If that is the case, the phone wouldn’t hit local retailers till a bit later.

According to TechRadar.com, as far as price goes the Galaxy Note 3 could cost you as much as $800, However, it will probably cost less if bought with an update on a two-year plan or with the initiation of a new two-year contract.

Thought the Galaxy Note 2’s screen was big? The Galaxy Note 3 is expected to get an even bigger screen. Earlier, some sources said the third installment in the Galaxy Note series was going to get an enormous 6.3 inch display. However, other’s said the display would only be 5.9 inches, up 0.4 inches from the Note 2’s 5.5 inch display.

There was previous speculation the Galaxy Note 3 could run on Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie—a new operating system Google is rumored to released later this year. However, according to KnowYourMobile.com, the phone appeared on AnTuTu benchmark recently.

According to reports from GSM Arena, “Notes typically have overclocked chipsets compared to their Galaxy S counterparts, so we expect the finished product to be clocked higher than 1.6GHz.”

According to KnowYourMobile.com, the Galaxy Note 3 is supposed to come with a 5.9 1080p HD screen. Its design will most likely be a close to the Galaxy S4 design. It is also rumored to have 3GB of RAM while running on Android 4.3.
