Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have finalized their divorce nearly three years after splitting up, according to media reports.
Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony were one of the hottest couples in Hollywood. Their highly publicized split was the talk of the town. Anthony filed for divorce in April 2012 after the couple separated in July 2011. Despite the split, the two celebrities are still friends and co-parent their 6-year-old twins Emme and Max.
"We have decided to end our marriage," the couple said in a statement to E! News. "This was a very difficult decision. We have come to amicable conclusion on all matters. It is a painful time for all involved and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time."
The couple has finalized their divorce nearly three years after split, according to a TMZ report. According to the tabloid, the "First Love" singer will get primary custody of the twins, who will spend seven days a month with Anthony. When the kids are with their father, the nannies must be present. The former couple also agreed to use their "best efforts" to keep their twins out of the spotlight and away from photographers. Neither ex has to pay or will receive spousal or child support.
After the split, Lopez quickly moved on in the romance department with backup dancer Casper Smart, but split from him after two-and-a-half years of dating earlier this month. Anthony dated British Topshop heiress Chloe Green for a year before parting ways in February 2014.
The singer's relationship with Anthony was the third marriage for Lopez, who was wed to chef Ojani Noa from 1997 to1998 and backup dancer Cris Judd from 2001 until 2003. It was the second trip down the aisle for Anthony, who was married to former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres from 2000 until 2004.
Lopez has been making headlines for other reasons too, thanks to a highly-publicized performance at the World Cup opener in Brazil and the heavily-promoted release of her eighth studio album A.K.A.
